This week in New York, we didn’t just kick off Camp—we also kicked off a summer of writing letters for The Congratulations Project.

The Congratulations Project connects new and expecting parents of babies with Down syndrome with letters written by adults with Down syndrome—offering encouragement, perspective, and a warm welcome.

Each letter begins with the same simple message: Congratulations.

Two iconic New York experiences in one week!

On Wednesday, PALS New York attended a Broadway show—the first Broadway outing in PALS Programs history. Then on Thursday, Participants headed to Coney Island and embraced their inner thrill seeker!

From Broadway lights to boardwalk sights, this week has been fun-filled. 💙

Days 2 & 3 at PALS New York were packed with adventure and unforgettable memories!

We were thrilled to welcome volunteers from Bessemer Trust, who joined us for an exciting game of Duck Quest and brought incredible energy to camp. We also had an amazing workout session led by Two Happy that got everyone moving, laughing, and feeling strong!

To top it all off, our Participants headed into the city, taking in breathtaking skyline views from the ferry and enjoying all the excitement that makes New York so special.

Yesterday, we kicked off another summer of PALS magic with our Arrival Celebration, welcoming Partners, Peers, and volunteers for a week of connection, fun, and belonging.

There’s nothing quite like seeing our community come together on Day 1. These photos capture just a small glimpse of the excitement as we officially began another unforgettable season.

We can’t wait to see what this SUMMER has in store!
