Xiye Bastida (Otomi / Native Mexican) is a youth climate activist, storyteller, and co-founder and Executive Director of Re-Earth Initiative. The Re-Earth Initiative, founded in 2020, is a youth-led movement focused on exemplifying the voices of youth on the frontlines of climate activism, particularly in the global South. Xiye began her climate activism in her home town, San Pedro Tultepec, Mexico. She has since become a leading presence in youth-led climate activism on a global scale.
