It was a perfect day for our last meeting of the 2025-2026 season, with a beautiful blue sky and cool, breezy weather. Outgoing PGC President Bettie Guthrie hosted the meeting at her palatial home in Prince George County. The food and drink were delicious and the fellowship sweet. Here are a few more photos.

Greetings from Princeton, NJ! I just spotted this specimen and wanted to share it with all of you. Different in color and substance than what we see in Virginia, this one looks almost good enough to eat. Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum).

Our April meeting featured a talk on British floral designer Constance Spry (1886-1960) by Elizabeth Johnson, assisted by Timothy Hall, arranger. Hostesses Jo Anne Davis, Sandra Harrison, Kathy Hayes and Terri Cardulla served scrumptious refreshments including Spry's Coronation Chicken.
