Lending Helping Hands Mission is to provide a variety of resources via community outreach to the homeless/unsheltered, youth & the seniors in PETERSBURG, Virginia.

Lending Helping Hands is more than our name, lending helping hands is what we do. Lending Helping Hands is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt community based, non-profit organization. We were established December 17, 2020 during the global COVID pandemic. We believed we could make a difference by helping others. Our mission is to provide resources through community outreach to the unsheltered/homeless communi

ty in both Richmond and Petersburg especially the youth in Petersburg, Virginia. In 2023, we plan to implement initiatives that focus on food insecurity, water distribution, public educational system, personal hygiene distribution, senior citizens, health services, veterans, financial literacy, LBGTQIA and the wellbeing of others in our communities. Lending Helping Hands is not just our name, it is our lifestyle.

❤️ Lending Helping Hands and so many others definitely showed up for the 114 displaced Carriage House seniors. They deserve better! We are NOT finish....stay tuned!

The Petersburg City Public Schools district serves approximately 4,500 students across Pre-K through 12th grade.

❤️ Next the community is starting to announce and will be showing up in July and August for OUR students in Petersburg City Public Schools. Watch and see 👀 ! They are OUR future.

What is Lending Helping Hands currently doing? We definitely have been 👢👢 boots on the ground, working together with some phenomenal like-minded individuals in the community, receiving donations and actively engaging in conversations and activities directly that focus on supporting the well-being of our 114 displaced seniors from the Carriage House.

On last night, we held our Monthly Zoom Board Meeting to ensure that we are properly position to host our 6th Annual Back to School Giveaway on Saturday, July 25 at Club 17, Inc. with some of our community partners. We are anticipating 500 PETERSBURG students again this year.

We will be conducting a Zoom Meeting with those community partners on next Wednesday, June 10 who will be provided the Zoom link to ensure that we are operating in full transparency in order to support our students in PETERSBURG.

Also, we are trying to plan something "SPECIAL" that day for 200 students for the low cost of only $5.00 per child.
