JBWES Students Engage in Meaningful Learning Experience. A field trip to Bruce Beach provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the history of segregation and discrimination in the Jim Crow South.

Upon returning to the classroom, the students worked on their Science projects, exploring the human skeletal system, cardiovascular, circulatory, immune, and muscular systems. The students' projects demonstrated a thorough understanding of human anatomy, and we commend them on their efforts. We are very proud of our students.

Incredible Session 3 at JBWES SAT/ACT started of with a “Get to know my university of choice”activity.Students researched their dream university and discussed admissions requirements. Students used the information as a goal setting opportunity.

After goal setting participants got down to business learning the ins and outs of answering verbal questions pertaining to craft and structure; and math questions that focused on data analysis. Students took turns solving equations and breaking down comprehension questions. We ended the night highlighting vocabulary. Each student was provided a vocabulary list to edify their lexicon.

First hour concentrated on ELA and reading and the second hour Hands On Practice on the board. Great night of learning.

Hey Everybody,

Old school music, the Dramatic had a smooth romantic song that said” I wanna go outside in the rain….” Not to day… lol 😂 😂

Due to rainy weather, our scheduled field trip to Bruce Beach was postponed. Undeterred, our students gathered to continue their journey through the human body. The lesson commenced with an engaging activity, where students crafted the human skeleton using diverse shapes of pasta.

During the drying process, we took a brief pause to watch an informative movie about the immune system, which provided valuable insights into its importance. Subsequently, students participated in an interactive Kahoot! session, testing their knowledge of the immune system and its representation in the movie. Our next topic will be the Muscular system.
