If you sustained electrical damages from Hurricane Isaias, check out this resource from our partners at Florida Power & Light to see if you qualify for up to $2,000 in financial assistance!

Up to $2,000 may be available to eligible households for qualifying electrical repairs after Hurricane Isaias. It is something most homeowners never have to think about, but some equipment connected to the home, including the meter enclosure or weatherhead, must be repaired by a licensed electrician before service can be safely restored.

Escambia County Homeowners, please remember to fill out your Damage Assessment Report!

✅ Escambia County has completed the initial damage assessment for Hurricane Isaias, with estimated damages for county repairs totaling approximately $64 million. This total includes Escambia County facilities, buildings, equipment, parks, roads, bridges, and emergency recovery efforts.

Santa Rosa County Homeowners, please remember to fill out your Damage Assessment Report!

We still need your damage report forms! As of today, we've had over 2,500 self-reports. Thank you!

If your property was impacted, be sure to report the damage as soon as possible. Residents are asked to report property damage through the Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser's website. Search for your property by either name or street address at https://srcpa.gov/search and use the "Report Damage" button found under the "Owner Information section on your parcel page. If searching by street address, use abbreviations: Dr for Drive, St for Street, Blvd for Boulevard, etc.

For the section that asks for repair estimates: You may either make an estimate or wait until you have a better idea. An exact amount is not necessary.

Damage assessments are ongoing. FEMA individual assistance is not yet available in any county. (https://www.fema.gov/disaster/3655/designated-areas) We are waiting on the declaration and are continuing to provide updates to the state on our numbers.

As of October 15:
$165 million in damages based on self-reports.
Over 80 structures have been classified as destroyed
Around 300 structures have sustained major damage
Over 600 structures have sustained minor damage
Over 2,000 structures have been affected

Today, we're announcing the launch of Pensacola Habitat’s Hurricane Isaias Recovery Fund. This special fundraiser will unite people across our community looking to help our neighbors in need of critical home repairs after the recent storm. We hope to be able to serve as many homeowners as possible, but we need your help to do it! If you're able, please consider making a contribution as we all work together on long-term recovery efforts.

This is a separate initiative from our ongoing Community Development Program. Our focus at this time is on building the funds needed to serve homeowners. Information on how to apply for these repairs will come at a later date.

Update: we're thrilled to share that our office will be back open to the public beginning on Friday, October 16 at 8 a.m. Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding during this difficult time, and we're excited to get back into our building and continue our work building homes, communities and hope!

Unfortunately, our main office is still without power and remains closed as of this morning, Thursday, October 15. We will continue sharing updates as we receive them with regards to reopening to the public.

Dear friends, supporters and partners,

The recent impact of Hurricane Isaias is being felt across our community, and we hope you and your families are safe. With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Annual Gala, originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th. Our focus is on the long-term recovery efforts across our community, and we want to allow time and resources to prioritize those efforts. We are working on finding a new time and date for the Gala that we will announce as soon as it is in place. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate these difficult times and look forward to putting on an incredible Gala at a later date. Stay tuned for further updates!
