Do you know a teen who is looking for something fun and positive to do, wants to make a difference in their community, wants their voice heard, or could use a little extra support? We’ve got something to meet their needs!

From Choose Your Story and Community Service Days to our Youth Advisory Council and RESET Early Intervention, September is full of opportunities to connect, get involved, and find support.

We’ll also be joining fellow community advocates for ASK-Awareness Support Knowledge, an evening discussion centered around the impact addiction has on individuals, families, and our community.

From our community partners and vendors, to the volunteers of all ages who gave their time, the artists who shared their talents, and the friends and families who showed up with open hearts, thank you. 💜

And to the Pensacola Museum of History, thank you for choosing to stand united with us and lighting your building purple in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day. Seeing purple light up downtown was a beautiful reminder that awareness extends far beyond the walls of one event.

To remember.
To support.
To educate.
To heal.
And to remind one another that no one has to walk this road alone.

We are incredibly grateful to every person who helped make our 4th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day possible.

Today, we had the opportunity to join the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice at Pace Center for Girls, Escambia / Santa Rosa for The Facts. Your Future. presentation.

Hope Above Fear was honored to be one of the guest speakers alongside Escambia County CORE and the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, each bringing a different perspective to an important conversation about substance use, the risks facing young people today, and the choices that can impact their future.

Have you had the opportunity to meet Casey, our Prevention Coordinator at Hope Above Fear?

Casey is a beautiful example of the message we hope every young person who walks through our doors comes to believe: you can choose your own story. Our circumstances may shape us, but they don’t have to determine where we go next. Family cycles can be broken, new paths can be created, and sometimes our hardest experiences become the very thing that allows us to make a difference for someone else.

We’ve been grateful to have Casey on our team for almost two months and are excited for our community to get to know her even more.

Our team started the morning in Milton, supporting our friends at Coming Clean Recovery's 5K Run/Walk to End Addiction. We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate, connect with others, and share a few words about why this work matters so deeply.

Then it was back to the Hope House for our monthly Community Service! We spent the afternoon preparing for 4th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day by painting flower pots, assembling memorial pieces, and making LOTS of purple bows.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their Saturday with us, whether you were running, walking, volunteering, creating, or simply showing up. Community is what makes all of this possible.
