A NEW DATE. THE SAME PURPOSE.

Following Hurricane Isaias, we have made the decision to postpone the 2nd Annual Unmask the Fear Gala to give our community, families, and local businesses the time and space needed to continue recovering.

We look forward to coming together on Friday, March 19, 2027, for an unforgettable evening of hope, resilience, connection, and impact.

Every ticket, sponsorship, and contribution supports Hope Above Fear’s work to prevent substance misuse, intervene early, and create positive opportunities for local youth.

All previously purchased tickets and sponsorships will be honored for the new date.

If you have any questions regarding tickets, sponsorships, or the rescheduled event, please reach out to us directly.

Like most of our community, the Hope House experienced some storm damage. Several trees came down and just barely missed the building. We also endured flooding and are currently without water or power.

As a result, all groups and classes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday have been canceled. The remainder of the week is still pending, and we will share updates as soon as we have more information.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through the storm’s aftermath. If you or your family have specific needs at this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Need community service hours? We’ve got you!

Our next Community Service Day is this Sunday, October 11 from 12–3 PM at Hope House.

Students can stay for one hour or all three. There’s always something different to work on—building, creating, organizing, outdoor projects, and more.

Community service at Hope House is designed to be more than checking off required hours. It’s a chance to meet other teens, contribute to something meaningful, and have a little fun while doing it.

Registration is easy! Call or text (850) 516-8744

Final production day!! 🎬

It may just look like a boy with a saxophone. But really, he represents every teen we interviewed during this project.

Music can drown out the noise. For another teen, it might be basketball. Dance. Running. Racing. Art. A coach. A team. A place where they belong.

That’s the message behind The Hero Is You.

With Red Ribbon Week only three weeks away, it’s important to remember that prevention is about more than telling young people what not to do. We also have to help them discover what they can say YES to—something that gives them purpose, builds confidence, creates connection, and gives them a healthy place to turn when life gets hard.

This year’s theme, “Be a Hero. Live Drug Free.” inspired The Hero Is You because being a hero isn’t about being perfect. It’s about making choices that move you forward and realizing you have the power to choose where your story goes next.

We can’t wait for you to see what being a hero looks like through their eyes. ❤️

🎬 Another production day in the books!

We’re one step closer to bringing The Hero Is You youth prevention project to life.

A huge thank you to our friends throughout the community who opened their doors and allowed us to film in their spaces today—Cobb Center, Pensacola High School, and Pentecostal Temple Ministries.

From the basketball court to the volleyball court to the dance floor, today was about capturing teens doing what they love—and the connection, belonging, mentorship, confidence, and purpose that can come from finding something that matters to you.

Watching this project come together has been incredible, and we can’t wait to premiere The Hero Is You on October 24th at our 2nd Annual Unmask the Fear Gala. 🎭❤️

A HUGE shoutout to Jones Shakes Pensacola for donating gift cards so we can show a little extra appreciation to the students who are giving up part of their Sunday to help us bring this message to life.

This room may just look like an art room, but to us, it represents exactly what we hoped Hope House would become: a space where teens can show up as they are, discover what matters to them, and choose what comes next.

From RESET projects to community service activities, this table has seen a lot of creativity, reflection, and self-expression.

A huge thank you to The Graffiti Bridge for giving our teens the opportunity to help design another mural piece and fill the walls of our Creation Room with HOPE! 💜🎨

Our Executive Director had the privilege of returning to UWF for the fourth time to present to one of Professor Garrett’s classes!

This year, more than 30 Honors Core students will take what they learned about Hope Above Fear and work in teams to develop research proposals inspired by the needs, challenges, and opportunities they identified through our work.

One of the best parts of partnerships like this is getting to bring new perspectives into the conversation. We’re excited to see the questions they ask, the ideas they explore, and what they develop over the semester.

A huge thank you to Professor Garrett for continuing to welcome Hope Above Fear into the classroom and giving students an opportunity to connect their academic work to what’s happening right here in our community.
