All Saints Church Foster Care Project The Foster Care Project provides community education, public policy/advocacy and services for children and youth who have been removed from their homes.

Foster Care Project Advocacy

The Foster Care Project works to improve the quality of
the lives of children and young people who have been
removed from the custody of their parents to the custody
of the state. Far too many of these children and young
people are are harmed by the social structures created to
protect and nurture them. Changing public policy and the
systems which govern and control them can change the
quality of their lives. These are all our children; we must
be their advocates. Join us in this endeavor. Information on policy issues and legislation affecting the foster care
system:

Federal legislation: Child Welfare League: www.cwla.org
Limited and specific California legislation: California Youth Connection: www.calyouthconn.org
Information on bills in the California State Assembly and in the
California State Senate: www.leginfo.ca.gov

We’re grateful for the generosity of our All Saints Church community and the Foster Care Project, which helped make a memorable night at Dodger Stadium possible for 20 foster youth. 💜⚾️🏟️

Moments like these are more than just an outing - they create joy, connection, and memories that can last far beyond the game.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special experience possible.

Meet J. Thomas. 💛

After entering foster care, J. Thomas found confidence, discipline, and community through jiu jitsu. His sister found joy and strength through gymnastics.

Through Foster Care Project’s FCP Sports Program, both
siblings were able to participate in activities their family otherwise couldn’t afford.

Because extracurriculars aren’t extras. They’re places where children can belong, grow, build confidence, and discover what they’re capable of.

FCP Sports helps make those opportunities possible for
children in foster care.

Meet Nevaeh. 💛

After excelling at Cal Poly Pomona, Nevaeh was accepted into a summer study-abroad program at Leibniz University in Hanover, Germany.

With support from her DCFS social worker, the Independent Living Program, and Foster Care Project’s ACAC team, she prepared for her journey, boarded an airplane for the first time, and spent six weeks studying, traveling, and building connections across cultures. “It never seemed possible to even think about. My experiences prove I can do it, and I hope it encourages others, especially my siblings, to travel also.”

We’re proud of Nevaeh’s courage, determination, and growing possibilities. ✈️🌍

Meet Zazriel. 💛

For the past three years, FCP’s Adopt-a-Caseworker (ACAC) Team has had the privilege of cheering Zazriel on as he worked toward independence and some pretty incredible milestones.

Along the way, FCP has been there with groceries, gift cards, football gear, essentials to help furnish his apartment, and most
recently, a suit and accessories to celebrate a very special accomplishment: graduating from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with a B.A. in Media Arts and Practice. 🎓

But one of our favorite moments came this summer, when Zazriel returned to FCP’s annual back-to-school shopping spree—this time as a volunteer. He was paired with a little boy whose name also began with “Z,” and the newly formed “Z Team” hit it off immediately.

Watching a young person we’ve supported come back to give his own time and encouragement to another child in foster care is exactly the kind of full-circle moment that makes this work so meaningful.

We are incredibly proud of Zazriel, grateful to have been part of his journey, and excited to see where he goes next. 💛

Meet London Murphy, a determined student with a clear vision for her future in neurosurgery. London’s story reflects perseverance, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to her education.

We were honored to award her a scholarship to support her next step toward college and the future she is working so hard to build. Her accomplishments and aspirations are her own. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside her, celebrate her potential, and offer support as she pursues her goals. As London says, “That is who I am. That is why I will succeed.”

Join us in celebrating London and wishing her every success in this next chapter.
