compliments the other. Our exhibitions are a focal point for our education programs, inspiring young people to make art in our studio. Likewise, our nationally recognized teaching methods inform how young people and adults learn about the themes and ideas found in our exhibitions, which are always open at no cost to the public.

We’re proud to be part of Pasadena’s annual Love, Loud & Proud Pride Celebration! 🌈✨
Join us at Pasadena City Hall this weekend on Saturday, June 13, from 6 – 9 PM as we celebrate and uplift our LGBTQIA+ community through creativity, connection, and community. Stop by the Armory’s booth for a free, all-ages art-making activity and help us create something colorful together.

This free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, community organizations, food trucks, arts activities, and more. We can't wait to celebrate Pride with our Pasadena neighbors and friends.

Young artists can spend their mornings drawing, painting, sculpting, weaving, and exploring creativity through:

to last month when our friends from LAMusArt came to visit the Armory! 🎨✨

Following our visit to LAMusArt a few weeks prior, we welcomed their team for a tour of our facility, including our galleries and studio spaces. before heading into the main studio for a cyanotype workshop led by Armory Teaching Artist, Austyn. Together, we experimented with sun printing and collaborative artmaking! After the workshop, we broke into departmental groups to exchange ideas, systems, and knowledge as two art organizations committed to supporting our communities through creativity and access.

We're so grateful to LAMusArt! It was such a meaningful day of connection, learning, and collaboration, and we’re excited to continue this exchange as an annual tradition. 💙

What futures can we imagine beyond wildfire? 🤔💭
Join us at the Armory on June 20, from 1 – 4 PM, with the Altadena Library District for Youth Prophecy: Futures Beyond Wildfire, a teen workshop inspired by our current exhibition, 'Material Prophecies: Craft as Divination.' 🌀🔮

Participants ages 13–18 are invited to explore memory, resilience, and collective imagination through creative making and reflection, envisioning new possibilities for Altadena’s future in the wake of wildfire.

Free for teens ages 13–18. Registration is available via our link in bio or at armoryarts.org/youth-prophecy. ✨
