Update: We're almost halfway there! 🥳

Because of your incredible generosity, we've raised $4,330 toward our $9,000 goal for Claudia.

Claudia is doing her best as she continues her recovery. She's mostly staying home, venturing out for essential errands with the help of a walker, as she is still experiencing bouts of dizziness. She has been especially grateful for the occasional visitor for help with household tasks and her cat to keep her company! 🐈‍⬛

Thanks to you, Claudia has been able to cover essential living expenses including rent, her car payment, groceries, her phone bill, and utilities - which have been especially important during this heatwave.

Now we're just $670 away from our next milestone of $5000!

Every donation, every share, and every kind message has reminded Claudia that she isn't facing this recovery alone. Thank you to everyone who has shown up with such compassion and support.

We're nearly halfway to our goal, and every additional contribution helps ease the financial burden so Claudia can focus on what matters most right now: a full recovery.

If you've already donated, one of the biggest ways you can help today is by sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, coworkers, or on social media. A simple share can introduce Claudia's story to someone who is able to help.

Together, we can get Claudia one step closer to her goal. Thank you for standing beside her on this healing journey! 💖

THANK YOU for showing your support, Nebraska community! Claudia has surpassed 20% of the original goal - I’m so grateful. 🥹

If you’d still like to support, any amount helps! This will go to covering basic living expenses and get her back on her feet as quickly as possible!

Thank you for your support and your consideration. We appreciate you! 🥳

☀️☀️☀️

On April 25, Claudia was involved in a serious car accident that left her with significant physical and neurological injuries. Since the accident, she has been focused entirely on healing and following her medical team’s recommendations for recovery.

Unfortunately, her injuries have also made it impossible for her to continue working as an independent contractor during this time. Like many self-employed people, when work stops, income stops too.

I’m organizing this fundraiser to help bridge the gap while Claudia recovers. Our goal is to raise $9,000 to help cover essential living expenses over the next three months, including rent, utilities, household necessities, pet care, and other basic expenses that will allow her to focus on healing rather than financial stress.

Anyone who knows Claudia knows her resilience, kindness, and determination. Right now, she is facing a difficult chapter and could use the support of her community.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping Claudia maintain stability while she recovers and works toward returning to work.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is also a meaningful way to help.

Thank you for supporting Claudia during her recovery journey. She is one of my best friends and we appreciate any support you can lend at this time!

We’re delighted to welcome back JON BOKENKAMP, a Nebraska writer, showrunner, and executive producer who splits his time between LA and Kearney. Our guest has built a career that bridges studio filmmaking and prestige television with confidence and curiosity - creating global film & TV hits in the process.

Jon is from Kearney, Nebraska, and continues to work and create in both Nebraska and California. He created & served as an executive producer on the NBC drama THE BLACKLIST. Most recently he created The LAST FRONTIER for AppleTV. Bokenkamp’s feature film work includes THE CALL for Halle Berry, TAKING LIVES for Angelina Jolie, and PERFECT STRANGER for Halle Berry & Bruce Willis.

Join us for an intimate evening of conversation as we bring Jon back from Nebraska to meet with you in LA. We promised to do so at his last Salon, which took place at The Carson Center in Lincoln, NE. Join us as Jon shares insights from his journey as a writer and showrunner, reflections on sustaining a series over multiple seasons, and thoughts on the evolving landscape of television storytelling.

We look forward to gathering in community for a lively, thoughtful exchange - now live in Los Angeles!
