Having a child with challenging behavior can feel lonely and isolating, leaving parents and caregivers feeling lost.
Traditional rewards and consequences have been ineffective, despite everyone's best efforts.

The way behaviors are addressed absolutely matters because the wrong approach will put the child in the stress response and the resistance becomes an adult/child power struggle, that is like pouring gas on a fire, leaving everyone to wonder, "how did this happen?"

But there is HOPE with Collaborative Problem Solving®
HBCC equips adults with tools to teach children self-regulation, frustration tolerance and problem-solving skills to strengthen the adult/child relationship, helping to get expectations met and setting the groundwork for a lifetime of wellbeing.

Same expectations, using a completely different approach, Collaborative Problem Solving®

The Collaborative Problem Solving® approach is an evidence-based, trauma-informed method that promotes the understanding that challenging kids lack the skill - not the will - to behave; specifically, skills related to problem-solving, flexibility and frustration tolerance.

Registration is open. Spaces are limited.

Classes beginning April 11th and May 7th. Join one of these for the 6-week series.

The Collaborative Problem Solving®(CPS) approach is owned and developed by Think:Kids, a program based in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital(MGH) in Boston, MA. Those CPS Certified receive ongoing supervision from T:K and are independent of MGH.
