This past Saturday, the phenomenal women of ABRO proudly hosted our Black Children’s Book Event—an inspiring celebration of stories written by and featuring African American voices. 📚✨
Families and young readers enjoyed engaging, interactive read-alouds led by dynamic guest readers, explored their creativity at our DIY bookmark-making station, and received free books to continue building their home libraries. We also shared meaningful tips and resources with parents to help nurture a lifelong love of reading in their children.
A very special thank you to our incredible youth guest reader, Jeremiah Edwards, whose enthusiasm and presence truly lit up the room! We are also deeply grateful to everyone who attended and supported this impactful event.
Together, we continue to uplift literacy, representation, and the power of storytelling in our community. 💛
