📰 NEWS: The national Remembering Our Fallen memorial is coming to Morris County, NJ in September.

We're proud to announce that the Remembering Our Fallen traveling memorial—a powerful tribute honoring U.S. service members killed in the Global War on Terrorism—will be on public display at County College of Morris, September 25–27, 2026, free and open to the entire community.
The memorial officially arrives on September 24th with a welcoming ceremony hosted with local dignitaries, veterans' organizations, and community partners.

🗓️ Public Viewing Schedule: 📍 County College of Morris, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph, NJ 07869 • Friday, Sept 25: 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. • Saturday, Sept 26: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. • Sunday, Sept 27: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. 🎟️ Free admission. No registration required.

🇺🇸 Morris County Veteran Appreciation Day is coming!

We are proud to once again be hosting this wonderful community event on Monday, August 10, 2026, from Noon to 5:00 PM at the VFW Post 3401, 45 Tabor Rd, Morris Plains, NJ. Please join us for an afternoon dedicated entirely to honoring the men and women who served.

Come hungry, come proud — there will be plenty of food, soft drinks, and fun for the whole family. Hear from state and county officials and representatives from our veteran community partners, and spend the day surrounded by fellow veterans who get it.

ALL Veterans and their families are welcome. This one's for you.

Did you know that where you attend college can have a greater impact on your GI Bill housing allowance than your major?

As a veteran exploring higher education options in the Northeast, the statistics are striking. Under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, veterans attending the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) receive a monthly housing allowance of $5,196—the highest among all institutions within a 2-hour radius that I analyzed. In comparison, Yale University offers $3,171, Rowan University $2,682, Drexel University $2,682, Stockton University $2,664, and Vassar College $2,751.

This means choosing Borough of Manhattan Community College could result in an additional $2,532 per month.

The best part? A full-time schedule is all that's needed. Most coursework can be completed online, with only one course required to be taken in person to qualify. Over a 9-month academic year, this decision could translate to over $22,000 in extra housing benefits for veterans.

Our veterans should be informed about these options before enrolling anywhere.

What an incredible morning at the Veterans Health Fair & Luncheon in Bergen County, New Jersey! 🇺🇸
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson and NJ SOS Vets was grateful to be able to participate.

We are truly grateful to have had the opportunity to attend today's event hosted by the Veterans Foundation of America at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center from the health screenings and biometric assessments to the wealth of resources available for our veteran community — today was a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

A heartfelt thank you to Braven Health for sponsoring this important event, to Red White & Que Smokehouse for the amazing lunch, and to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco for his continued support of our veterans.

Special shout out to Jeff Cantor for his leadership and support.

Events like these make a real difference in the lives of those who served.
