Today we celebrate and honor our incredible teachers who touch the future!

Your dedication in the classroom encourages students to dream big and reach for the stars every single day. Because of educators like you, the Challenger mission lives on— inspiring, exploring, and instilling a love for learning.

☀️Tomorrow, the Buehler Challenger & Science Center is participating in a continuous mission that will connect us with other Challenger Learning Centers across the nation!

As the sun rises from east to west, each Center will complete a portion of the mission and hand off virtually to the next Center in line. By the day’s end, the mission will have “followed the Sun” across time zones, uniting students and educators nationwide in one collective journey. Students will learn how interconnected efforts—like mission handoffs—mirror real-world space operations and global STEM collaboration.

Let’s “follow the Sun” into a new era of discovery!

Happy birthday, ! 40 years ago today, in the aftermath of the Challenger STS-51L tragedy, the families of the crew established Challenger Center as a way to honor their loved ones while keeping their educational mission alive.

Today, as a network of 32 Challenger Learning Centers across the country, we have reached 6.5 million+ students in the past four decades with our immersive STEM programming. Together, we deliver unforgettable learning opportunities that boost STEM literacy, empower communities, inspire future careers, and leave a lasting legacy for generations of learners.

But we’re just getting started—our next 40 years of discovery start today. To learn more about our school and summer camp programs, contact our Mission Services Department at 201-262-0984 or visit us online at www.bcsc.org.
