🐀Foster Friday! 🐀 Meet Sasha & Gosha, two neutered brothers who are about a year old! These lovely weirdos have beautiful, shiny fur and a chill temperament. Like many neutered males, they’re mostly mellow, with occasional hilarious bursts of goofy play.
The brothers arrived scared & unsure of people, and they’ve made a lot of progress! 💕 They’re discovering that humans can mean fresh fruits & veggies, cozy bathrobes, and lots of treats. During playtime, they never try to escape—they happily run around, have some very lazy brother wrestling matches, and beg for treats. After 10–15 minutes of adventures, they’re usually ready for a nap in their cozy hidey hut. 🥰
Sasha is curious & fun! He loves climbing onto his human’s shoulder during playtime, getting pets and, of course, pea fishing. When he first arrived in foster care, he had a habit of putting his teeth on you when approached inside his cage or hidey hut. It wasn’t aggression or a hard bite—just a tiny, painless nip that seemed to mean, “No thank you.” He no longer does this, and we think he simply needed some time to feel safe and build trust with his human.
Gosha is more reserved, but he’ll come to the cage door for treats & can easily be lured into a box for transport to the play area. Once he’s out of the cage, he opens up! He’s still building his confidence, but he’s happy to climb onto his humans, especially when treats are involved. One of his favorite things is exploring from inside a cozy bathrobe.
🏡The boys are ready for their forever home with someone who will give them the time & patience they need to feel comfortable. Because of Sasha’s previous quirks, we recommend an adopter with prior rat experience.
Once these boys trust you, they are easy & wonderful companions. If you’re ready to give Sasha & Gosha the time they need to settle in & show you their personalities, submit an adoption application on our website or feel free to ask us any questions! ❤️
