That’s a wrap on our 21st Annual Caregiver Conference!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you left the day feeling more empowered with new knowledge, helpful resources, and practical strategies for building resilience throughout your caregiving journey.

We’re grateful to our keynote speaker, Katherine Ward, MD, our presenters and panelists, and everyone who shared their knowledge and personal experiences with our caregiving community. We appreciate our hardworking volunteers and staff for their time and dedication.

A special thank you to the City of Los Altos - City Hall for co-sponsoring this year’s conference, and to all of our generous sponsors and community partners for helping make the day possible.

And, most importantly, thank you to the family caregivers who showed up, asked questions, shared their stories, and continue to care for the people they love. We’re grateful to have spent the day with you. 💚

Palo Alto Online & Palo Alto Weekly readers just named Avenidas the #1 Best Community Services Resource for 2026.

This kind of recognition doesn't happen because of any one program or person. It happens because a case manager took extra time on a hard phone call. Because a volunteer driver showed up early. Because a caregiver walked through our doors not knowing where else to turn, and someone was there to help.

Three locations. Ten programs. Thousands of small, human moments that don't usually make headlines, but clearly haven't gone unnoticed.

Thank you to our neighbors for voting, for telling us this work matters, for trusting us with the people you love. We believe that growing older should come with dignity and connection, not isolation. Palo Alto just showed us how widely that belief is shared.

Avenidas was honored to participate in a milestone event for the Kiwanis Club of Mountain View, its packed 100th anniversary gala! As grantees of this incredible service organization, we learned about its 100 years of impact, broke bread with community friends at Ristorante Don Giovanni, and danced to Marina Marinovich's band Hit Collective.

Thank you, Kiwanis Club of Mountain View for lifting up Avenidas Rose Kleiner Center and the community we all serve.

What an incredible day celebrating Pride in Every Shade! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Avenidas Rainbow Collective Pride 2026.

Together, we celebrated, learned, and connected—honoring the strength, resilience, and joy of LGBTQIA+ older adults while creating space for community, belonging, and authentic connection.

A heartfelt thank you to our event sponsor, Waymo, for supporting programs that foster independence and inclusion, and to the Santa Clara County Office of LGBTQ Affairs for their continued partnership and commitment to helping the Rainbow Collective grow and thrive.

We're also grateful to Assemblymember Marc Berman, Jason Galisatus from Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga's office, Councilmember Sergio Lopez from the City of Campbell, and all of our community partners for celebrating with us.

A special thank you to Daniel Moretti from The PRIDE Study at Stanford University for sharing the latest LGBTQIA+ health research, and to Jenn Chan for facilitating a thoughtful panel discussion featuring Sophie Drye of The Q Corner, who shared reflections on identity, resilience, belonging, and creating affirming spaces for trans people across generations.

Finally, thank you to our volunteers, vendors, performers, and the dedicated Avenidas staff who made this celebration possible.

Most of all, thank you to every member, friend, family member, ally, and community supporter who showed up with Pride. You are what makes the Rainbow Collective a place where LGBTQIA+ older adults can find connection, belonging, and support—not just during Pride Month, but all year long. 🧡🏳️‍🌈
