40 years of building homes, community, and opportunity.

Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County is proud to celebrate four decades of impact. Together, we have built 85 homes, supported over 150 first-time homeowners, completed 400+ critical home repairs, and partnered with more than 20,000 volunteers, donors, and community members across 14 cities.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are also looking ahead with new projects, including an upcoming development in Ojai and continued efforts to expand access to safe, stable housing.

Meet Leslie, a dedicated volunteer who brings creativity and heart to every project.

An Oxnard native, she has been volunteering with us for the past three years as part of the Event Committee, helping plan and bring community events to life.

“Volunteering with Habitat has been an incredibly meaningful experience. Your voice truly matters, and there are so many ways to get involved.”

Her favorite memory? Playhouse Builds, where creativity shines and kids light up seeing their finished homes.

Leslie’s advice? Get involved. You’ll make an impact, meet great people, and have a lot of fun along the way.

We look forward to celebrating more incredible volunteers, like Leslie, at Hearts & Hammers. 💙

Interested in connecting with community-minded people like Leslie? Sign up to volunteer with us! We welcome any (or no) level of experience: habitatventura.org/volunteer/.
