Space rocks are coming to Oxnard...
Your chances of getting hit by one is very, very low, astronomically speaking, but it’s not zero!

Alan Sailer joins us November 04 @ 7:30pm at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center to unpack the science of meteorites; where they come from, how we identify them, what they’re made of, and the spacecraft exploring their parent bodies. Plus, he’s bringing real samples to check out in person.
Free and open to all curious minds. Tag a friend who’d love this!

On this day 11/30/54: Ann Hodges was injured by a falling meteorite that crashed through her roof and into her leg, becoming the first and only documented person to be struck by cosmic debris: https://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2013/02/130220-russia-meteorite-ann-hodges-science-space-hit/
