RASCAL IS BACK WITH US — AND WE’RE DETERMINED TO FIND HIS PERFECT MATCH 💛
Once in our care, Rascal was a senior boy who had been dumped, forgotten, and eventually found himself sitting in a kill shelter with no chance unless someone stepped up. And we did.
We found him a foster… who quickly became his adopter. For a while, everything was wonderful. He loved his dog friend (his size), he adored his one cat friend, and he settled into home life beautifully.
But a few months later, we got the call - An altercation near the sidewalk and at the apartment complex happened when a small dog and Rascal didn’t see eye to eye.
Rascal is simply too large and too intense for small dogs — or at least this one. What words were exchanged. Who called who a name….. we don’t know bc we don’t speak dog lingo - but Living in an apartment full of small dogs made his adopter feel unsafe with the “what ifs,” and returning him was the responsible choice in their eyes.
And here’s the truth:
Just like people, dogs can’t be expected to like everyone.
What we do know is this:
Rascal is amazing.
He loves his people.
He plays beautifully with dogs his own size.
He gives nose kisses to the resident cat.
He is loyal, affectionate, and so ready to belong. He is quiet and laid back and loves his couch to snuggle in.
So we welcome Rascal back with open hearts and open arms — and now we begin again.
We are looking for:
💛 A foster who can give him stability
💛 An adopter who understands his needs
💛 Shares and support to help him find his true forever
Rascal deserves a home where he can feel safe, loved, and understood.
And we know that home is out there.
Let’s help him find it. 🐾💛
