The Breast Cancer Club was pleased to deliver over 300 new bras to breast cancer patients at NKC Health. Patients will be able to shop the racks for free.

The bras were collected through bra drives and sorted by teen volunteers.

Breast cancer patients frequently need new styles or sizes of bras during treatment. Unfortunately, it’s a need that often goes unmet. Having the right bra is important for the patient’s comfort, healing and dignity.

Maggie Osgood had a goal.

The Director of Dance at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City hoped to collect 43 bras for charity in honor of her 43rd birthday.

In January, “Miss Maggie” was diagnosed with breast cancer, though few outside her dance family knew.

In October, Maggie posted a birthday request on social media asking friends to donate bras to The Breast Cancer Club in honor of her survivorship. “It was a great way to tell people and to give back,” she said. The response was overwhelming.

Maggie Osgood collected 340 bras for her 43rd birthday. That’s enough for herself and a 297-year-old.
