Less than two months remain until the glorious, fun-loving, and 50th-Anniversary-of-Mariandale version of the Hope Harvest. Our 2026 theme is Hope for the Journey.

Save 3 hours for us on Sunday, October 18 from 4 to 7pm, as we honor Don Bisson, FMS; Janet Corso; and Open Arms for Refugees with Hope Harvest awards. We'll celebrate their commitment and contributions to hope along the journey that's brought us to a half-century as retreat center and spiritual home.

Staff from the Dominican Sisters of Hope and The Center at Mariandale offer helping hands at Staff Service Days, supporting Hope Community Services in New Rochelle and Fred's Pantry in Peekskill. It's a great way to give to the community and help keep food shelves stocked for those in need.

The past week's immersion retreat with Red Road Reclamation and artist Zelda Hotaling was one of the best. The Sacred Dream Circle they leave with us is testament. Every time we meet, it's harder to say goodbye, for now. We'll see you down the road.💚

The Sacred Dream Circle takes its place on a Mariandale path under a majestic tree, looking out at the Hudson River.

Created by members of Red Road Reclamation with a little help from staff at Mariandale, it's a beautiful representation of friendship with the Dominican Sisters of Hope.

Thanks to artist Zelda Hotaling, who made this possible with her vision and creativity. It stands as a symbol of indigenous presence in the Hudson Valley, past, present, and future.

New and longtime friends joined the Dominican Sisters of Hope and The Center at Mariandale at the Bedford Playhouse for a film screening of Seven Generations of Hope, a film by Joe Plante, New Media Storytellers.

There was a poignant and meaningful story to be told, and the film depicted it beautifully--the history, the hope, and the deep, lasting friendships created just over the last three years.

We were joined by members of Red Road Reclamation, The New York Community Trust, Westchester Land Trust, Sacred Dream Circle artist Zelda Hotaling, and many more.

A panel discussion followed the films. We heard a song of friendship that we'll remember, sung by Janayakuha Webster of the Oneida nation and others.

A Sacred Dream Circle, designed and implemented by artist Zelda Hotaling, is being created and "strung" at Mariandale. The result of a friendship between our Red Road Reclamation guests with the artist, the dream circle is one of only one of 28 established throughout several states.

The artist’s intention is that these be a source to bring community together, and to offer a space to heal, meditate, pray, and express intentions. These current creations are inspired by a "Trail of Dreams," a movement to commemorate and build hope from the history of the "Trail of Tears" of American history, initiated in 1830.

Here, Mariandale’s Program Coordinator Liam Myers helps to create one of the healing knots in the dream circle, with artist Zelda Hotaling and members of Red Road Reclamation. Many staff members helped to create the circle, each leaving a mark in this extraordinary piece and the community it creates.
