Hudson River Valley Ramble event at Shattemuc Yacht Club. Still time to come aboard for a free sail. Seats available on 2pm and 3pm sails. Beautiful day on the Hudson River.

Early this morning our crew and members volunteered their time to prep Whimbrel for our fall sailing events.

We were able to complete all the items on our to-do list.

Tasks included:
- removing barnacles from the prop and centerboard
- cleaning all the fenders
- lashing one of the rings back to its "U" shaped sail connector
- sanding and oiling cabin doors
- refitting two cowl covers and vent hose for engine cooling
- fixing the starboard running light
- polishing the brass rub rail
- scrubbing the hull
- cleaning all PFDs
- replacing telltales on mainsail and jib
- splicing and whipping lines for replacement on all fenders

And many other smaller jobs.

It was a beautiful day and many hands made light work! Thank you to everyone who helped.
