As the school year comes to an end and some of our children will be moving up to different classes and even leaving our center, we celebrate all of the different cultures that surround us and make us an OCC family.
PLEASE ENJOY THIS CUTE LITTLE SONG! Play it for the children in your life

Spring has sprung and fruit is in season. Our youngest gardeners tasted different kinds of fruits today pineapple, golden kiwi, mangoes. Although we do not grow those in our garden, we learned about how and where they do grow and then we got busy in the garden watering and w**ding. Thank you Andrea Sauro our children’s master gardener!

The owners of Ossining’s own Tekatito popped in today as part of Hungry on the Hudson Restaurant Week (hosted by Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce) turning our afternoon into a full‑blown taco fiesta. The kids had a blast piling on toppings and creating their own tasty combos — the clean plates and “more please!” said it all.

A huge thank you to Tekatito for bringing a delicious burst of fun to OCC!

Our UPK rising kindergartners embarked on an inspiring journey today, exploring the vibrant world of Park School. They discovered the wonders of the cafeteria, playground, kindergarten classrooms, library, gym, and mastered the art of walking confidently down the hall on the yellow or green lines. They are radiating excitement and anticipation to join this esteemed school community in September, and we eagerly look forward to witnessing their growth and learning

Today, Mrs. Louise from Teatown had the kids close their eyes and listen to sounds. They had to guess what they were hearing. A lot of them said water, the ocean, rain, a waterfall, and the river. It was the ocean and waves, then we talked about the beach and things you can find there. Shells are all over the beach. Using shells, the kids traced them to create their own beach drawings.

Older 3's #1 are in the garden! Helping our plants grow by watering them, talking to them, pulling w**ds, and learning about what the little sprouts will grow into. Before you know it, they will be eating tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, and tasting different herbs!
From seed to soil to plant to plate. Thank you Andrea Sauro

What do we grow in our garden versus what grows in a garden? Our pre-K 1 and 2 learned about the things that we grow, like herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and lettuce. Then they tasted blueberries and strawberries, which we do not grow in our garden, but are grown in other gardens. They also learned what they look like when they grow. All the children got a chance to water and w**d to help everything grow.

Infants #1 wanted to find a new playground, so they took a short walk or wagon ride and found just what they were looking for - swings and all. They had a glorious time. Of course, they brought water and snacks.
