✨Meet Joana Neves, Miss Ossining!✨
Joana Neves, 21, proudly calls Ossining, New York, home. Deeply connected to her Portuguese heritage, she honors her family's roots in São Miguel, Azores, and Santarém, Portugal, embracing the traditions, values, and culture that have shaped who she is today.
Currently pursuing her cosmetology license, Joana combines her creativity with a passion for helping others feel confident and beautiful, both inside and out. She also proudly serves as an assistant Portuguese school teacher, where she has the privilege of sharing the Portuguese language, culture, and traditions with the next generation—an experience that holds a special place in her heart.
As Miss Ossining 2026, Joana is honored to represent the Ossining Portuguese Center. She is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that has always supported her, celebrate her Portuguese heritage, and inspire others to embrace their roots with pride. In the midst of pursuing the title of Miss Luso Americana 2026, Joana looks forward to serving as a proud ambassador for both the Ossining Portuguese Center and the Portuguese-American community.

Joana Neves, de 21 anos, nasceu e cresceu em Ossining, Nova Iorque. Orgulhosa das suas raízes portuguesas, honra a herança da sua família em São Miguel, nos Açores, e em Santarém, levando consigo as tradições, os valores e a cultura que moldaram quem é hoje.
Atualmente, frequenta o curso de Cosmetologia, unindo a sua criatividade à paixão por ajudar os outros a sentirem-se confiantes e bonitos, por dentro e por fora. Paralelamente, desempenha com orgulho a função de professora assistente na escola portuguesa, onde tem o privilégio de transmitir a língua, a cultura e as tradições portuguesas às gerações mais jovens — uma missão que lhe é particularmente especial.
Como Miss Ossining 2026, Joana sente-se profundamente honrada por representar o Ossining Portuguese Center. Através desta oportunidade, pretende retribuir à comunidade que sempre a apoiou, celebrar a sua portugalidade e inspirar outros jovens a abraçarem as suas raízes com orgulho. Ao concorrer ao título de Miss Luso-Americana 2026, espera representar com dedicação o Ossining Portuguese Center e toda a comunidade luso-americana.
