Grey Bull Rescue is ready for hurricane season.

BERTHA is Grey Bull Rescue's mobile Emergency Command Center — and she is one of our most critical mission assets. When a storm wipes out entire neighborhoods, cuts off cell towers, and leaves Americans trapped with no help in sight, BERTHA rolls in.

Onboard Starlink satellites. Broadband radio communications. A generator. Air conditioning. Space for up to six Case Managers and/or Operators. A take-off and landing zone for our aerial support drones. And a dedicated display running HADR — a customized database built exclusively for Grey Bull Rescue by our Mission Partner, Endurion, providing real-time route planning, open-source data compilation, and maritime and airspace tracking. Fully self-sufficient. Completely deployable. Ready to go wherever the disaster goes.

BERTHA isn't just a Command Center. She's a lifeline. A forward-deployed headquarters. A force multiplier for every Grey Bull Rescue Operator on the ground.

There is no such thing as a Happy Memorial Day.

Today is not a celebration. It is a reckoning. A reminder to every Gold Star family, every combat veteran, every person who made it home when someone they loved did not… that the cost of freedom is real, and it is paid in full by someone else’s son or daughter.

For those of us who served, Memorial Day carries a weight that is hard to explain to those who haven’t felt it. Survivors guilt is real. Grief doesn’t follow a calendar. And for some, today is genuinely one of the hardest days of the year.

This day is personal for our team. The men and women of Grey Bull Rescue have collectively lost more friends, teammates, and brothers and sisters in arms than most people will ever know.

Yesterday, our team spent the day together honoring them. Their names on a wall, their faces in front of us, their memory carried forward by the people who loved them most. That is how we observe this day. Not with noise, but with remembrance.

To every mother, father, spouse, sibling, and child who is hurting today, we see you.

To our fallen: we will never forget you. Not today. Not any day.

From SOF Week in Tampa, straight into the Orlando Storm.

We were honored to be recognized tonight at the Orlando Storm’s Hats Off to Heroes game night. Their fans brought the energy and incredible support.

Mike Murphy and his family took the field to present a $22,000 check to Grey Bull Rescue on behalf of Murphy Auto Group. Mike isn’t just a donor, he’s someone who has experienced firsthand what this organization does. His generosity and belief in our mission means more than we can put into words. Thank you, Mike. Thank you, Murphy Auto Group. This check goes directly to operations and saving lives.

And if that wasn’t enough… we had the chance to meet the legendary Jon Gruden. Former Buccaneers coach and NFL icon. Honored to cross paths.

Admiral Frank “Mitch” Bradley, Commander, United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), made a special point to stop at the Grey Bull Rescue booth at SOF week. Admiral Bradley met and got to know some of our Operators, Case Managers, HQ Staff, and even a few folks we have rescued.

ADM Bradley explained how impressive our team is and the strategic impact we have had filling gaps to save Americans globally. He has been tracking many of our missions with great interest.

Bryan Stern presented a serialized challenge coin ( #179) to Admiral Bradley representing his BUD/S class.

Accompanying Admiral Bradley was Ms. Melissa Johnson (MoJo), Acquisition Executive, USSOCOM. Ms. Johnson conveyed her appreciation to our team.

This engagement showcased the deep and close relationship Grey Bull Rescue has with SOCOM, DoW, and the interagency. While we are not government nor contractors, we ARE patriots with 100% aligned goals of our SOF colleagues.

Admiral Bradley’s leadership is inspiring to all of us, both in and out of uniform. Both SOCOM and Grey Bull Rescue are looking to address peer threats, next ridge lines, denied areas, and more, sharing common goals and shared battle space.

Our relationship with our colleagues has never been as strong and it only continues to grow.

You guys ROCK. 🎸🤘

The turnout at Henderson’s Live blew us away. Because of your generosity, we raised over $20,000 toward our SAR hurricane response vehicle in a single afternoon. That’s what happens when the Grey Bull Rescue family and our local community shows up and we are incredibly grateful.

A massive thank you to the South of Kennedy Band for the incredible performance and for rallying behind this mission the way they did. And to Henderson’s Live for opening their doors and making it all possible… we couldn’t have done it without you.

But the mission isn’t over. Hurricane season starts June 1st. We need to reach $150,000 before that date to get our disaster response vehicle operational and ready to deploy. It will help us deploy faster in dangerous environments, establish our mobile command center, and insert Grey Bull Rescue operators in our communities to save lives at the SPEED OF NEED.
