First member of what ultimately became THE GIVE TEAM! Now he’s an alumnus of North Carolina A&T. It wasn’t easy, but .chris always made it look that way. An incredibly strong family full of love has been his driving force, and Chris found a way to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. But as with ANYONE who’s been successful, he didn’t go it alone. Many of you have played a role in giving Chris guidance and support along the way. THANK YOU!!! GIVE TEAM RULE 02: Life is a team sport. DRAFT ACCORDINGLY! And Chris has mastered the art of surrounding himself with really good people. Thanks to everyone for being part of Chris’ journey thus far. There will be challenges ahead, but there is no doubt that GREATNESS AWAITS.

We start training in November, honoring July Perry and the victims of the Ocoee Massacre. We continue to Selma where we go 54 miles from Selma to Montgomery, honoring those led by John Lewis in the fight for the right to vote. Next year, who’s in? Let’s continue the march.

We’ve done a lot as The Give Team. You’ve seen the young men and the young women accomplish great things. The sign says “Kids Playing“ but kids are about to stop playing. Just wait to see what’s next!

More coming soon, thanks to Our trip to Selma continues to move those around us. And we’re just getting started. A little over a month ago we honored those who sacrificed everything for voting rights by retracing the steps they took from Selma to Montgomery. They covered it in 5 days and 4 nights, risking their lives. We completed it in less than 24 hours.

THE BURDEN WE CARRY. On Saturdays we get together to do something hard because you don’t get strong doing easy things. Now that summer is coming, we’ll load up with water because water is heavy. That water represents the burden we all carry, because that’s the one thing we have in common. We’re ALL carrying some kind of burden. After we work out a little sweat, we stop by the Christian Service Center and we give away our bottles of water. WHY? Because it’s starting to get hot and there are people who need water. Plus, there’s a deeper message. THE MORE WE GIVE, THE LIGHTER THE BURDEN WE CARRY. #

22 March 2026: One of the best parts of our trip to Selma the past two years has been brunch hosted by the David Hall family, site of where the original marchers camped the first night of the march to Montgomery in 1965. They served pancakes, eggs, bacon and drinks with stories and love. Davine is the granddaughter of David Hall. She, her mother, father, and cousin shared food and stories. Davine arranged for a FaceTime call with Ms. Alice, a participant in Bloody Sunday, Turnaround Tuesday, and was one of the 300 who marched the entire 54 miles on Highway 80 over five days. She was 16 at the time, and speaking with her moved everyone. It was a reminder that while we struggled along that route, the challenges were NOTHING compared to what everyone was confronting 61 years ago. It emphasized the importance of our credo:

REPOST: In the 1800s, one man did the impossible — he fed Key West on solid rock.

Born into slavery, Sandy Cornish fought for his freedom and built a thriving farm on limestone land where almost nothing could grow. When his freedom papers were destroyed and slave catchers came for him, he made a decision that stunned everyone.

This is a powerful story of resilience, innovation, and the true cost of freedom in 19th century Florida.

Have you heard of Sandy Cornish before?
