ORLANDO (November 14, 2016) – On Saturday, November 19, 2016, Júbilo Orlando Community Outreach, Casa de Júbilo, Serenity’s Gift of Love, and Florida Technical College staff and students will partner for a very special community event. Share Your Love during Thanksgiving will deliver comfort and healing one heart at a time by providing a traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey and all its delicious trimmings, as well as a wide variety of services and activities for the homeless. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 641 Ossie Street, in Orlando.
“We are very excited with our involvement and partnership and look forward to serving Central Florida’s homeless by facilitating our resources and support during the Thanksgiving Season,” stated Gabriel Garcés, Director of Florida Technical College, Kissimmee Campus.
Share Your Love during Thanksgiving will also provide clothing, haircuts, and health services to those in need. Homeless individuals and families will also enjoy fun activities at the Kids Zone, with popcorn and snow cone machines, face painting, arts & crafts and a photo booth. Live entertainment and music will be provided by Casa de Júbilo Church Choir, DJ Allstar and Ferdinand El Poetico.
“By providing nourishment and essential services to our less fortunate neighbors, we are able to care for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs,” added Rev. Luis de Jesús Ginestre, Lead Pastor of Casa de Júbilo.
Community members are invited to join us in making this Thanksgiving extra special by providing donations of packaged food products, lightly used clothing and hygiene items to our less fortunate neighbors. Donations can be dropped off between 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 641 Ossie Street, in Orlando. Your generous contributions will be greatly appreciated!
