At The East Bay School, Ashanti shared that his bullying experience in middle school lasted for 2 to 3 months.

It was not isolated.

After PE, in the locker room, his lunch money was taken repeatedly.

The duration mattered.

Ongoing pressure creates silence and isolation.

He struggled to tell his friends and hesitated to ask for help.

That experience is why he values speaking to middle school students.

Those years are formative.

Identity, confidence, and peer dynamics are deeply influenced during that stage of development.

Young men often carry challenges quietly during that time.

Creating intentional spaces for dialogue and connection can interrupt that isolation.

Angel has been part of our program for over two years.

When he first came around, he didn’t know many people.
He wasn’t the loudest in the room.
He wasn’t trying to stand out.

But he stayed.

He showed up.
He leaned in.
He allowed himself to grow.

At the Conference, something clicked for him.

You can walk in not knowing a single person…
and leave with five brothers.

Real connections.
Positive influences.
Young men who push you forward instead of pulling you back.

That’s what Angel found.

Not just an event.
A brotherhood.

A space where growth feels normal.
Where accountability is expected.
Where being better is encouraged.

Two years later, he’s stronger.
More confident.
More grounded.

That’s the power of the right room.

Teachers, principals, educators,
If you have a boy in your classroom and thought,
“I can’t reach him,”
you need to watch this.

Alberto was the boy educators struggled with.
Angry. Explosive. Checked out.

One adult chose not to punish the mask, but to understand what was behind it.
That changed the direction of his life.

For 20 years, we’ve worked with young men across the world and the pattern is consistent:
Behind every disruptive or disengaged boy is someone protecting himself.

That’s why we built the Coaching Corner.

Inside, you’ll learn how to:
- De-escalate without losing authority
- Decode shutdowns and anger
- Turn disruption into connection
- Rebuild trust without power struggles

If you’re tired of losing boys to silence or chaos, this is for you.

You don’t have to do this work alone.

Mario Rivera didn’t sugarcoat it.

Building something real takes time.

He told the young men that what he and creators like Kai Cenat have in common is simple.

They use social media as a tool.

Not just to post.
Not just to flex.

To connect.
To ask questions.
To build community.

For Mario, that means the Bay.

His work reflects his city.
His people.
His culture.

He reminded the young men that you don’t have to use social media to be successful.

But if you choose that lane, treat it seriously.
Build intentionally.
Create with purpose.

And he made himself available.

That matters.

Because success isn’t about going viral once.

It’s about grinding long enough for it to matter.

The Young Men’s Conference is not just a one-day event.

It’s exposure.

Exposure to new skills.
New disciplines.
New ways of carrying yourself.

Boxing.
Self-defense.
Fitness.
Writing.
Music.
Leadership.
Learning what it actually means to move like a gentleman.

Some young men have never been in a space that challenges them physically and emotionally at the same time.

This is that space.

They don’t just sit and listen.

They train.
They write.
They speak.
They build.
They connect.

And somewhere in that process, something shifts.

Because transformation isn’t one moment.

It’s layered.
It’s ongoing.
It’s unlocked through exposure and brotherhood.

Transformation doesn’t end when the day is over. It starts there.

At the Young Men’s Conference, Mario Rivera pulled up and kept it real.

He’s a filmmaker from San Francisco. Built his own lane. Didn’t wait around for someone to hand him one.

He asked the young men what they want to do with their lives.

Aerospace.
Music.
One said YouTuber.

Mario laughed and said, “Yeah, nice. Just like me. Let’s go viral.”

But what he really meant was this:

We are living in a time where you can actually build something off what you love.

This isn’t the old era.
You don’t have to follow one narrow path.
You can find your niche.
You can create.
You can post.
You can build.
You can win.

But you have to stay authentic.

You can’t copy.
You can’t chase trends forever.
You can’t quit when it gets slow.

Passion only turns into purpose when you stick with it.

The possibilities are endless in this era.

The question is… are you bold enough to chase it?

Some young men aren’t loud.

They’re thoughtful.
They’re observant.
They have potential — but they don’t always believe it yet.

When a young man is shy, it’s easy for him to shrink.
To stay quiet in rooms where he should be speaking.
To doubt himself before he even tries.

Last year, we watched young men walk into that room unsure of themselves.

By the end?

They were standing taller.
Making eye contact.
Speaking with conviction.

Not because someone forced them to be louder.

Because they realized they belonged.

Real confidence isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room.
It’s about knowing your voice matters in the first place.
