We’re grateful to see our new Mobile Dental Clinic continuing to shine a light on the importance of expanding access to oral healthcare.

Thank you to KRON4 News News for featuring our partnership with La Clínica de La Raza and helping share how this new program is bringing free dental care to uninsured adults in our community.

Oral health is an essential part of overall health, yet for many uninsured individuals, dental care remains out of reach. Together with our partners, volunteers, and community leaders, we’re helping change that, one patient at a time.

Good vision can change everything.

Thanks to the donation of a fully equipped ophthalmology suite, the Clinic is expanding access to vision care for uninsured adults across our community.

The new program will help increase annual screenings from 175 to 600 patients, reduce wait times, and provide critical screenings for conditions like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy—two leading causes of preventable vision loss.

Because no one should lose their sight simply because they lack insurance.

Meet Dr. David Anderson and Chris Anderson — the husband-and-wife team helping provide free echocardiograms for uninsured patients at the Clinic. ❤️

Dr. Anderson, a cardiologist, and Chris, an echocardiographer, have spent more than 20 years volunteering together to provide cardiac care for underserved patients. Today, they lead the Order of Malta Clinic’s monthly Echocardiogram Clinic, helping patients access specialized heart imaging services that are often difficult or impossible to obtain without insurance.

For the Andersons, volunteering together is also deeply personal:
“It is a special experience for us to work together for a day, to make a diagnosis, to share in a patient’s story, and to pray for their needs.”

We are deeply grateful for volunteers like Dr. Anderson and Chris, whose expertise and generosity help expand access to specialty care across our community.

For more than 900 years, the Order of Malta has been caring for people in need. A tradition of compassion that began in 1048 A.D. when a group of hospitaller monks of the Order of St. John were asked to manage and staff a hospital in Jerusalem, caring for pilgrims and travelers of various faiths. That group of monks acted accordingly, and thereby founded the organization presently known as the Order of Malta.

Today, we carry that legacy forward here in the Bay Area by providing free, high-quality medical care to our neighbors who need it most.
