Behind “Jeremy” is the tragic story of a teenager who felt isolated, misunderstood, and unseen.

Pearl Jam transformed that pain into a powerful warning about bullying, neglect, and the consequences of ignoring emotional suffering. During their 1992 MTV Unplugged performance, the stripped-back arrangement made every lyric feel even more haunting.

This is what music is meant to do: give a voice to the unheard, turn pain into awareness, and inspire us to listen before it is too late.

A task may feel small when you only see the task itself!

Serving a meal can help build the trust that connects someone with housing, healthcare, or counselling. Even stuffing envelopes can strengthen the donor relationships that keep a nonprofit’s work going.

When volunteers understand where their contribution leads, the work becomes much more meaningful.
