Oak Harbor Educational Foundation

The Oak Harbor Educational Foundation was formed by caring citizens in 1992. OHEF is a private non-profit corporation and all contributions are tax deductible.

With the support from our generous community, OHEF provides scholarships for Oak Harbor School District’s graduating seniors, grants for teachers to support innovative learning opportunities, and stay-in-school funding at the elementary level. The Foundation provides a conduit for donations, manages contributed assets and raises funds to benefit education in Oak Harbor Schools. The citizen board o

f directors oversees the use of funds to ensure they further the mission of the Foundation. OHEF awards tens of thousands of dollars in college scholarships and up to 15 grants for schools annually. OHEF depends on funds raised through annual events, one-time donations, annual donors and endowments which are invested to support ongoing scholarships and programs. Thank you to the participants of today’s OHEF Family Fun Run! You brought big smiles and some rad 80's style to support senior scholarships and innovative teaching experiences.

Thank you to our emcee, Principal of North Whidbey Middle School Russ Peters, for keeping the crowd hyped!

Events like these take a lot of help. We want to give a huge shout out to all of the individual volunteers and those from Oak Harbor High School National Honor Society, Whidbey Royalty, NJROTC, and Oak Harbor Fire Department.

treats at Windjammer Park this weekend! Whether you are participating in the OHEF Family Fun Run or you are just enjoying the day downtown on May 30, you can stop by to support OHEF!

With just ONE WEEK until the OHEF Family Fun Run on May 30, the popsicle party competition is strong 💪 Oak Harbor Elementary experienced another big jump but other schools aren’t far behind. Any school still has an opportunity to get a popsicle party!

Update! Olympic View Elementary School is threatening to overthrow Oak Harbor Elementary’s lead, but Oak Harbor Intermediate School showed up to remind us they were still a strong contender for the Popsicle Party by Tiger! Crescent Harbor Elementary isn’t far behind! And it’s not too late for other schools to take over the scoreboard!

Wow! Oak Harbor Elementary Eagles are STILL in the lead, but the margin is getting slimmer! Olympic View Elementary School Orcas have made a big splash this week to take the #2 spot for the school with the most participation in the May 30 OHEF Family Fun Run. Both of these school principals will be participating, too! Other schools aren't trailing too far behind, and there is still time to make it onto the leaderboard!
