Ziggy the Space Fairy ✨🧚🏼‍♂️
(Also known as Geri)

Gifted in: Organization, Numbers, Arts, Building, Crafting, & Recruiting 🎨📊🗺️

Responsibilities at WRF: Vice President, Treasurer, Logistics Officer, Props Dept Director, Guild Lead for Celestial Glade (Fae Guild), & Merchandising 🛍️

Favorites: Sparkles, Candy, Techno Music, and Purple 💜

Ziggy joined us in 2024 and immediately jumped into action. Her efforts quickly became paramount to the success of the organization as she volunteered countless hours to ensure that both the logistics and magical aspects of Faire came to life in a timely fashion.

Her public facing achievements are many: painting and bringing to life the heraldry for Mysthaven, carving castle walls, the fairy wings prop, planets props, the creation and artistic direction of the Celestial Glade, and more.

You can find Ziggy spreading space dust and magic throughout the Realm at Whidbey Ren Faire, but especially in the Celestial Glade or managing mischief behind the scenes. 🪐🦩🦛

As was fitting of the occasion, some of our loyal volunteers gathered to mourn the end of Whidbey Ren Faire 2026 as we walked the fields of Mysthaven one last time.

After the patrons have returned home, the performers have packed out, and vendors are long gone, our volunteers are the ones who remain to ensure that we leave the space we were graciously permitted to use in the same condition we found it or better.

We spent 3 hours completing our final sweep last Sunday over all 30 acres of rented space at Beach View Farm.

It was indeed an appropriate occasion for us to dress in black, as the next season of Whidbey Ren Faire is now a mystery. Beach View Farm which we have been blessed to make home these past two years will be undergoing new projects that will prevent the event from taking place there again. We are so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with both the former and current landowners at Beach View Farm, and we are excited about what they will bring to our community.

We look onward to 2027 with confidence that all that’s meant to happen will take place, in the right timing. We will find a new or possibly permanent home for Mysthaven, or continue trying until we do.

Until then, we bid thee farewell, and thank thee for a beautiful season.

“Huzzah!” to Grover for his winning entry in the Children’s Realm contest, “Create Thy Dragon”. Honorable mentions are awarded to Mario, Kilian, Molly, Lydia, Elliott, Hazel, Ronan, Gavin, Hudson, Jack, Evelyn and Grayson.

We thank thee all for thy fabulous creatures. And these worthy dragons shall be proudly displayed hereafter in “The Bestiary of Mysthaven” (a book of mythical beasts), to be unveiled at Whidbey Ren Faire 2027. We hope thou shalt return to see it!

Update: If you would like to come look for your lost item (there are a lot) please come by Basecamp at Beach View Farm. We will be here today (5/27) from 9am-3pm.

Once again, the Blue Fairy is sad. The lost and found box is full of fripperies and fineries, daggers, hats, games, and more, all left behind at Mysthaven. The fairies and pirates have been forbidden to pilfer the goods, and we are sad. Apparently, the right thing to do is make all of you, our amazing patrons, aware that the goods are safe, if you wish to claim them. Don’t wait! Fairies and pirates can’t be kept back forever! Message us or email [email protected] if you’ve lost a treasure you would like to have back. 🧚🏼‍♂️✨🪎

Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude as we reflect upon the grand culmination of a year’s worth of shared dedication and tireless collaboration brought to glorious fruition. The magic forged together this year in Mysthaven shall burn brightly in our hearts, sustaining us until the day we gather once more. ⚔️
