Let's play ball!

Celebrate the opening of baseball season with art!

“Talkin' Baseball” is a glass painting by Michael Dupille, a Seattle-based glass artist. The composition uses different colors of glass to create depth of space and suggest a crowd watching a baseball game. He creates his “glass paintings” using different colors of crushed glass called "frit" which he layers and fires in a hot kiln.

"Talkin' Baseball" (1999, glass) by Michael Dupille, located at Thunder Mountain Middle School, Enumclaw, Western WA.

ID: Black silhouettes of an adult and child in baseball caps with a filled stadium and field behind. A blue sky with clouds above, round as part of a ball. Speech bubbles come from the figures, but they hold the red stitching of baseballs instead of words.
