🥎 Register Now: 3-Day Fall Pitching Clinic! 🥎

Is your daughter interested in learning to pitch or looking to sharpen her current pitching skills this fall?

The Northfield Fastpitch Softball Association is excited to offer our Fall Pitching Clinic led by standout NFCA Collegiate All-American and 2026 Northfield High School Pitching Coach, Elly Novak!

This progressive 3-day clinic is designed to give players dedicated time to practice, develop, and build confidence between lessons.

Clinic Details
📅 Dates: Tuesday nights — August 11th, 18th & 25th
📍 Location: Rock Fields – Field #2
💲 Cost: $90 per player

Session Times & Age Groups
⏰ 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Pitching Fundamentals for Beginners (8U / 10U)

⏰ 6:45 PM – 7:45 PM
Pitching Mechanics and Movement (12U / 14U)

What to Bring:
🥎 Players must bring their own glove and infield facemask (balls will be provided).
🥎 Each pitcher must provide their own catcher for each lesson. Catchers may be a teammate wearing proper catching gear or an adult.

Why Do We Hold Summer Season Tryouts in the Fall?

Holding tryouts in the fall allows athletes to be evaluated when they are still in game shape and can showcase the skills they developed during the previous summer season. Fall weather also gives us the opportunity to evaluate players on the field, where softball skills such as hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, and game awareness can be assessed in a more realistic environment than in a gym.

Conducting tryouts in the fall also gives the association time to thoughtfully build balanced teams, recruit and assign coaches, and register teams for tournaments that best match each team's skill level. Because many summer tournaments fill months in advance, this timeline helps ensure our teams have access to quality competition and a well-organized season.

By completing team placement in the fall, coaches and families have a clear plan heading into the offseason, allowing players to focus on skill development and preparation for a successful spring and summer season.

Players unable to attend their scheduled tryout must request a make-up date in advance. Tuesday, October 6th will be the only make-up opportunity offered. Additional accommodations outside of this date will not be available.
