From Northfield Youth Baseball to “The Show.” ⚾️

The Northfield Youth Baseball Association would like to congratulate former Northfield player Zach Thornton on making his Major League debut with the New York Mets!

The photo on the left takes us back to May 2014 — a young Zach proudly wearing his Northfield jersey and holding a championship trophy. Fast forward to today, and Zach is living the dream on a Major League field in his debut with the Mets.

Your NYBA family is incredibly proud of you, Zach. Thank you for representing Northfield baseball with hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

A fresh coat of paint and a whole lot of community pride. ⚾🎨

A huge THANK YOU to Darren McEathron for dedicating the better part of this beautiful day to giving the scoreboard at College City Beverage Field at Sechler Park a major refresh with THREE coats of paint!

Because of volunteers like Coach McEathron, our ballparks continue to be a place our players, families, and community can be proud of. The finished product looks fantastic — be sure to check it out the next time you’re at the park! 👏

And if you see Coach McEathron around the ballpark, make sure to give him a high-five for helping keep NYBA looking first class! ⚾🙌
