Today is DAF Day, a nationwide celebration of generosity through donor-advised funds! 💜

If you have a donor-advised fund, your gift to the Pioneer Library System Foundation can help expand literacy, learning, and opportunity for people of all ages across our communities.

Your generosity can help put books in children's hands, create hands-on STEAM learning experiences, support adults working toward their high school diploma, and enhance programs and resources at our local libraries.

Already have funds set aside in your DAF? Today is a great day to put them to work for your community.

💜 Love your library? Tell a friend.

We know our followers are some of our libraries’ biggest champions. One simple way to show that support? Help someone else discover all their library has to offer!

Tell a friend about the book you couldn’t put down, the resource that made life easier, the program you loved, or something you discovered with your library card.

And if they don’t have a library card yet? Encourage them to get one! 📣

Anyone who lives, works, attends school, or owns property in Cleveland, McClain, or Pottawatomie County is eligible for a PLS library card.

Know someone who needs a library card? Tag them in the comments!

Today, we’re celebrating the people who . 💜📚

To everyone who has donated, volunteered, spread the word, partnered with us, or simply believes every child should have books of their own: thank you.

Because of this community, more than 12,000 local children receive a book in the mail each month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Each book helps bring the joy of reading into homes, spark imaginations, and create special moments between children and their caregivers.

Thank you for helping make the Imagination Library possible for children throughout our communities.

🎉 Exciting News!

We've been awarded a Health Literacy Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries

The grant will help bring new and continuing health and wellness opportunities to three PLS libraries:

🌱 Moore Public Library: Healthy cooking and nutrition classes and outreach, gardening and composting, Zumba, and yoga.

🧘 Blanchard Public Library: Community yoga, new outdoor musical instruments at Lions Park, and family programs that combine movement, music, literacy, and wellness.

🥗 Norman Public Library West: Weekly Tai Chi and monthly cooking classes focused on healthy, flavorful meals at home.

From learning new cooking skills to getting active and spending time outdoors, these programs will help people of all ages learn, move, and build healthy habits.

We’re grateful to IMLS and the ODL for helping expand health and wellness opportunities in our communities!
