In Memory of Deborah Ellen “Debbie” Billington
January 26, 1959 – March 5, 2026
AMTA Oklahoma honors the life and service of Debbie Billington, a dedicated massage therapist and cherished member of our professional community. A graduate of the Massage Therapy Institute of Oklahoma, Debbie practiced for more than 31 years, offering exceptional skill, compassion, and genuine care to everyone she served.
Debbie joined the AMTA Oklahoma Board in 2011 and held office for several years, contributing her time, leadership, and steady presence to the advancement of our profession. She also volunteered extensively with Sports Massage Teams and numerous charity events, always ready to support her community with her hands and her heart. Her service following the Oklahoma City bombing stands as a testament to her courage and compassion in times of great need.
Debbie had the gift of friendship. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity touched colleagues, clients, and friends across the state. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she uplifted through her work and her spirit.
AMTA Oklahoma is deeply grateful for her years of service and the light she brought to our community. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered
