“Hi, Second Chance! I saw y’all were back up and running, and I just had to send an update on Scotland Gunner, who I adopted from y’all back in 2021!

I go by Scotty these days, and let me tell you, I am THRIVING! I live for cuddles and firmly believe I am a lapdog, no matter what anyone else says. My favorite food? Raising Cane’s fries, obviously!

I get super excited anytime I hear the word GO! Doesn’t matter where we’re going, I’m READY! Unless it’s raining, of course. Then I want absolutely nothing to do with the outside world. 😂 When the weather is nice, though, I love rolling around in the grass with my sister, Birdie!

I’ve also gained a new sister since you last heard from me! Her name is Teddy, and she’s a cat. I love her, too! When I’m not busy cuddling, playing outside, or supervising the kitchen (someone has to make sure the food is handled properly 😉), I’m just enjoying the good life with my family.

Thank you, Second Chance, for helping me find my forever home. I hope all my friends there find their happily ever after, too! ”

"Oliver loves to cuddle, be under blankets, and lay with his brother Johann (also adopted from Second Chance).

The three of us have been through a lot. December 2025, we took a plane trip and moved to Mass. We stayed with my sister until the end of January, when her house caught fire. We survived and are doing well. Johann had some scary moments at first but has recovered. Still loves to be on my shoulder, and play."

You met Koda this morning… now meet KODIAK!

What a handsome guy! Just like his brother, Koda, Kodiak is as sweet as pie and has gotten along great with everyone he’s met here at Second Chance. ❤️

These two really are two peas in a pod! They’d make an adorable pair if adopted together, but they’d also be perfectly happy in separate homes. At the end of the day, these boys are all about one thing: getting lots of love and attention from their humans!

Kodiak is a 1-year-old, 59-pound Shepherd mix. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Could he be your new best friend?

👻 Our cover photo star understood the assignment 100%!

When Koda was asked to dress up as a ghost, he wasn’t exactly thrilled about the idea… but he did it for the photo! We think he deserves an award for his efforts.

Koda is a gentle, 1-year-old Shepherd mix weighing about 49 pounds, with an absolutely amazing underbite that makes him extra adorable! He gets along great with other dogs, and guess what? His brother is here, too, looking for his forever home! Stay tuned because we’ll introduce you to him soon! 👀

🐾 A little about Koda -

* Around 1 year old and 49 pounds
* Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations
* Dog-friendly and full of charm!

Koda and his brother do great on their own, so they **don't have to be adopted together**. But if you're looking for a pair of best buddies, they'd love to keep their brotherly bond going!
