The DFRC Blue-Gold All★Star Football Game is the event that launched DFRC in 1956. Every high school in Delaware - public, private, parochial, charter and vo-tech - is invited to nominate students as football players, cheerleaders, band members and Blue-Gold ambassadors. The Sussex Social was such a blast! We had a great time with live DJing by DJ Hype Entertainment, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed, delicious food for everyone to enjoy, and a silent auction that brought out some friendly competition.

A day at the ballpark makes for some of the best memories — especially when shared with friends. Charlie Honeysett and his Participants, Liam and Robbie, enjoyed an exciting outing at the Wilmington Blue Rocks game, where the focus wasn’t just on baseball but on bringing together our Buddies and their Participants.

From cheering in the stands to simply enjoying time together, moments like these are what the Hand-in-Hand Program is all about — building friendships that go beyond the field and last far beyond the season.

The bond between Buddy Isaiah and his three Participants is a beautiful testament to the heart of the Hand-in-Hand program. Their journey together blossomed into a genuine and heartwarming friendship that showed that these connections are more than just pairings.

From their first meeting at the Hand-in-Hand party to sharing pizza and ice cream and hitting the lanes at Lefty’s Alley & Eats, they continue to build a friendship that celebrates the joy of being part of a community where everyone belongs.

And watching their smiles and the natural ease they share reminds us of the power of building a society where everyone is welcomed, valued, and celebrated for exactly who they are.

A night of big energy and even bigger smiles. The Philadelphia Phillies Celebration Night brought our community together for an unforgettable evening filled with some amazing baseball and a lively atmosphere. From the first pitch to the final cheer, it was a chance to see inclusion in action, made possible by the support of partners who believe in the DFRC mission to bring the community together.
