Spring Break 2026 Recap! 🎉

Last week was filled with fun, laughter, and purpose! Kids Place had an amazing time on field trips to Fun City and Christiana Skating Center. The kids had a rolling blast, literally. 🤣

We took the opportunity to give back to our community by visiting ExcelCare Nursing Home. Our kids played bingo with the residents, helped call out numbers, and even assisted with passing out prizes. A special thank you to Ms. Shelly, Recreation Director at ExcelCare, for allowing us to co-host this meaningful experience! It truly warmed our hearts to see the smiles on the residents’ and children’s faces. Small acts can make a big impact. 💛

We also hosted our annual Spring Fling, which was filled with fun field day activities and treats! We are so proud of our kids for not only having fun and being amazing Kids Place members, but also showing kindness all week long! 🥰

January 2026 Recap! ✨

In remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr., the children created a handprint "DREAM" activity, and we also reflected on his message on equality. 🫶🏾✋🤎🤍

The kids LOVE being in the kitchen and are always asking to help! They are eager to learn new recipes, especially how to make their favorite dishes. Every chance they get, they're cooking while having fun. Not only do they enjoy it, but it also teaches them real-life independent living skills! 👩🏼‍🍳💛🧑🏼‍🍳

We celebrate birthdays at the end of each month, so please help us wish a very happy birthday to our January King and Queen!
Kids Place member Jayden, who celebrated his birthday on January 15th, and our very own CIT, Estefani, whose birthday was on January 5th! 🥳🎂👑
