Executive Director here. Over the years, I’ve made all of our flyers myself using things like Picsart, Microsoft Word, or even by hand. I had been told that they looked “junky” and that this was the reason people didn’t want to come to our events. So last year, other members of the organization started using Canva, ChatGPT, and other AI tools to make some of our flyers. :(
I don’t love it, especially because everything feels so oversaturated and polished these days.
Sooo, here’s my icky, handwritten flyer for our monthly support group. 🥹
Our organization isn’t supposed to be polished to perfection. We’re supposed to be an example of humanity and humility. It’s about creating something genuine, showing up for people, and being something people want to show up for. So here is my flyer, written in my chicken scratch, and I hope you’ll come to our next meeting on October 7th. 🥺
The feedback from our last meeting was overwhelming. 🥹🥰
