Last month, .nj partnered with William Paterson University to host 📚Transitioning Graduation to Professional Development 💻, an afternoon dedicated to preparing the next generation of professionals for success beyond the classroom.

Students and recent alumni gathered to gain career readiness insights, hear from accomplished industry leaders, participate in meaningful conversations during our professional panel, and expand their networks through intentional connections with mentors and professionals across multiple industries.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, panelists, volunteers, university partners, and every student who invested in their future by showing up, asking questions, and engaging with purpose. The energy in the room reflected what is possible when education, leadership, and opportunity come together.

Congratulations to our student raffle winners, who each received scholarship awards made possible through the support of our partners.

Introducing our ✨2026 Board Members✨,
a collective advancing access, strengthening leadership, and building sustained pathways for business and professional growth across our communities.

Meet our President 🏆, Melissa Rosario ( ), a business strategist, economic development leader, and bilingual consultant whose work has consistently expanded access to resources, funding, and education for the small business community across New Jersey.

As Regional Director of the NJSBDC at William Paterson University, she leads initiatives that equip entrepreneurs with the tools and infrastructure required to launch, scale, and sustain their businesses. Her career spans advisory, program development, and community leadership, including her tenure at NJCU and nearly a decade with the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, where she founded Women of Commerce and Young Professionals Leaders of Hudson County.

Melissa holds an MBA in Finance from New Jersey City University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from INTEC in the Dominican Republic. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to equitable economic growth, cross-cultural engagement, and the advancement of entrepreneurship as a vehicle for long-term impact.
