🌿 Young Leaders, Lasting Care 📚

A heartfelt thank you to the Belleville High School Honor Society for spending part of last weekend in service to Essex County Branch Brook Park alongside Branch Brook Park Alliance.

Their time and effort helped care for a landscape that welcomes more than a million visitors each year. Stewardship like this is more than a day of service—it is a lesson in responsibility, community, and leaving a place better than you found it.

🇺🇸🌿 Service as Remembrance

Today, we were honored to welcome the team from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as they joined Branch Brook Park Alliance in stewardship of Essex County Branch Brook Park in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11.

There is something deeply meaningful about honoring memory through service—caring for a public place, strengthening community, and giving time in the spirit of connection and responsibility.

The Port Authority’s mission is rooted in serving the region and the millions of people who move through it each day. Today, that spirit of service took root in the park, helping care for a landscape that belongs to everyone.

We are grateful for their presence, their work, and the dignity they brought to this day of remembrance. 💚
