Please join for their introductory wellness event, THE ARTIST’S ROLE [self-care sessions] on Saturday, October 11th, 1:00-7:00 pm in the heart of Newark’s Arts and Education District.

Two of Akin’s artist’s in residence & will be providing wellness programming for the community! Newark is celebrating the festival this weekend so come out for a day of holistic rejuvenation amidst the festivities.

For our first residency space, BYHAZE will be utilizing The Creative House, a new creative hub in Bloomfield, NJ.

Owners Daci Hossanah and Rahshon Bright, both NJ natives and creatives themselves, wanted to build a space where those in need could bring their visions to life. This beautiful space hosts photo/video shoots, content creation, events and more.

An exploration of space. A sanctuary to create. Every month, one artist will have access to a space of their choosing, free of charge.

In the time since our last activation, we received the Creative Catalyst Grant from the City of Newark, got into a Creative Space Accelerator Program with Artspace, and got in touch with a wholeee lot of new spaces and dope creatives. Needless to say, we’re excited, and not a moment too soon.
