2026 Pedal Farmers program was one for the books! What a delight it was to work with this incredibly bright group of students. From planting and tending our crops, harvesting vegetables, learning how to bike ride, financial literacy classes, making pesto/salsa/hot sauce, and culminating with our bike tour of Manhattan and Brooklyn, it was truly a successful summer! All of this wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing partners, Link Community Charter School CFNJ Victoria Foundation Valley Bank, EZ Rider

This past week, we had the pleasure of working with Verrazano Honor Students from The College of Staten Island for a day focused on community, team building, communication, and trust-building exercises.
It was a beautiful day to be outside, learning, connecting, and growing together!

To wrap up our summer youth employment program, we took our Pedal Farmers on a bike tour of community gardens through Brooklyn and Manhattan! It was a great way to celebrate their success!

This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of working with Newark students from the Wight Foundation at Camp Akiba, located in the Pocono Valley. We love the opportunity to partner with fellow Newark organizations that serve and empower adolescents. We had an incredible day focused on community and team building, communication, and trust-building exercises.
It was also a wonderful opportunity to get outside, connect with one another, and become more familiar with our natural environment. What a great day!

Week 4 and 5 Pedal Farmers update! 🧑‍🌾👩‍🌾 We had the pleasure of hosting a visit from the Victoria Foundation at one of our community gardens! We made pesto and hot sauce, definitely one of the highlights of the program! 🥫🫙So great to see our Pedal Farmers making things with the crops they’ve been tending to! 🌱🥬🪴 We love to show off our Pedal Farmers successes, keep a lookout for more highlights! 💚🥗♻️

Pedal Farmers Week 3 update! We’re seeing a LOT of progress with our crops! Our greens are growing and being shared with the community, our farmers are harvesting produce and packaging them. Soon we will be introducing pesto and hot sauce making into our Pedal Farmers education!! Stay tuned for our week 4 update, and stay hungry for our pesto!

Recently we had the pleasure of hosting a day course of canoeing with DYFS! Thank you staff for making this a remarkable day regardless of the rain, thank you Porject Alumni for helping out, and thank you Wawayanda for letting us teach here.
