Mother Nature had other plans for the SEEDS golf outing this month, but we’re excited to say we’re back on!

Three days. New challenges. A lot of growth.

Our Scholars took on hiking, canoeing, rope courses, dam rappelling, and other challenges designed to build teamwork, communication, confidence, and leadership skills this week at the Princeton-Blairstown Center.

Not pictured: night hikes, campfires, trust falls, memories forming, and new friendships solidifying.

Learn how SEEDS helps students prepare for top high schools and colleges through academic enrichment, residential summer experiences, test preparation, college guidance, and financial aid support.

🎓 College Scholars Program

FREE 17-month academic program for students entering 11th grade
• 3-week residential experience on a college campus
• Saturday classes during the school year
• ACT test prep, campus tours, and application & essay support
• Financial aid advocacy and assistance
• Open to students entering 11th grade in fall 2026 who attend an eligible public high school

🏫 Scholars Program

FREE 14-month academic program for students entering 7th grade
• 3-week residential experience on a boarding school campus
• Saturday classes during the school year
• Placement into private day and boarding schools with financial aid
• Guidance and support throughout high school and beyond
• Open to students entering 7th grade this fall who attend a public, charter, or parochial middle school

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Saturday, August 1, 2026, we celebrated the graduation of 72 Scholars and 21 Young Scholars at a ceremony held at Newark Academy.

Congratulations to our Special Award Winners!

Special thanks to our student speakers Leylah (SP) and Faridah (YSP) and our keynote speaker Steven Hanton, ‘01.

Thank you to the families, friends, alumni, trustees, staff, deans, faculty, student advisors, interns, donors, and volunteers who contributed to the accomplishments of the Class of 2026.

They are off to incredibly bright futures and we can’t wait to see them soar to new heights.

Important Event Update:

Due to the forecast for severe weather, the SEEDS Allen Meisels Memorial Golf Classic and Greenside Gathering have been postponed.

All events originally scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026, will now take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Mountain Ridge Country Club.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you in September for a wonderful day in support of SEEDS.

As we kickoff the final week of Scholars and Young Scholars Programs, we’re pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for the 2026 commencement ceremony is SEEDS alum Steven J. Hanton, Esq. ‘01. Steven is a partner in Nixon Peabody’s Corporate Trust and Banking & Finance practice groups.

The graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 11:00 AM at Newark Academy (Newark Academy).

We are proud to celebrate the graduation of our Scholars and Young Scholars, who will be attending prestigious independent day and boarding schools like Cate School, Brooks School, Phillips Exeter Academy, Kent Place School, Montclair Kimberley Academy, The Peddie School, Rectory School, St. Andrew's School and more.

We look forward to celebrating their success and sending them off to even brighter futures!
