“The Latine music I grew up on encouraged me to take a celebratory approach to life. Even when the going gets tough, one person can shift the entire vibe of a room by simply exuding joy and encouraging others – that’s who I want to be as a cheerleader.

When life’s circumstances ask you to shrink and do less, Tokischa reminds you to expand and do more. This is why it’s so important to see a q***r Dominican artist take the global stage. Celia Cruz told us decades ago that life is meant for celebration and communal joy, and artists like Tokischa continue to remind us. Wepa!”

We’re always proud to stand alongside this community and help celebrate a day centered on connection, accessibility, advocacy, and inclusion for people with hearing loss.

After 25 years of giving back to the community, Cheer New York is ecstatic to continue to Cheer for Change and Cheer with Pride.

Today, we honor the memories of those who perished 25 years ago from the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City; Arlington, VA; and Shanksville, PA. We stand by the families & friends of those lost and honor the first responders who risked their own lives to save others.
