Brooklyn Networks Brooklyn Networks offers free 6-week training for a career in Technology. When the training is over, we offer two years of job placement assistance.

The training program paves the way for a career in the field of Network Cable Installation/Information Systems. Cable Technicians install the lines that run behind walls and ceilings that are hooked up to computers, telephones, security systems, A/V Equipment and broadcast cable. The 6-week long training is held in our state-of-the-art lab at NYC College of Technology. Our job developer works closely with each graduate, utilizing connections with employers and special access to information about opportunities to find them jobs in the field.

Allen entered Brooklyn Networks at just 19 with a clear goal: to build a real career. After hearing about BWI from a friend, he committed fully—completing training, earning his BICSI certification, and launching his career as a cable installer.

Just one year later, Allen advanced into a new role as a structured cable technician, gaining higher pay, new challenges, and room to grow.

For Allen, this isn’t just a paycheck—it’s security, pride, and a foundation for his future. 💛

Careers can’t wait.
