This fall, we were proud to support the Transition Ceremony & Family Day of our partner program Rising Ground, celebrating families as they reached an important milestone in their children’s early development.

During the celebration, families shared how much Good+ donations, including clothing and shoes, have meant to them. One sentiment especially stayed with us: families shared that support from Good+ made them feel good, look good, and feel confident and supported.

That’s why our work matters. Essential items represent more than material goods. They help families feel valued, supported, and confident during important moments in their lives.

We’re grateful to partner with Rising Ground Early Head Start and to be part of celebrations like this one, where we get to see the impact of our work through the families we serve.

October is shaping up to be a packed month at Good+!

This month, we’re bringing our community together across both coasts with Community Volunteer Days in NYC and Los Angeles, quarterly Partnering Convenings, and volunteer events with Bank of America, Ross Careers, New York Cares and more. Plus, Good+ is presenting at the U.S. Conference on Poverty and Basic Needs, hosted by The National Diaper Bank Network!

As we celebrate Good+’s 25th anniversary later this month, we’re throwing it back to this 2019 video highlighting one of the biggest transformations in our work: our intentional focus on including fathers.

Through our work with partner programs, we learned that the “deadbeat dad” stereotype doesn’t tell the full story, Too often, fathers were disconnected from their families, not because they didn’t want to be involved, but because they lacked the access to resources and support they needed to show up.

Since 2019 and the launch of the Good+ Training Academy, we’ve worked to equip social service professionals with the training and tools to intentionally engage fathers and strengthen their connections with their families. We know that to support mothers and children, we must support fathers, too.

As we look back on 25 years of Good+, we’re proud of how this work has evolved. Stay tuned as we share more throwbacks of our 25 years throughout the month!

We know what families need. But what does it really mean when those essentials make it into their hands?

Hear from our VP of Programs, Laura, on what these items represent for the families we serve. A pack of diapers, a hygiene product, or a new piece of clothing can be so much more than an essential item. It can be a reminder that families have a community behind them, people rooting for them, and the support they need to take their next step forward.

As Diaper Need Awareness Week comes to a close, the conversation doesn’t have to.

We hit the streets of NYC to quiz New Yorkers on diaper need, and one thing is clear: there’s still a lot to learn about an issue that affects families every day. For families already struggling to make ends meet, the cost of keeping a baby clean, dry, and healthy can add significant financial stress.

At Good+, we work year-round to help close the diaper need gap. As a diaper bank with The National Diaper Bank Network in New York and California, we’ve distributed 40 million diapers to families since 2001.

This Diaper Need Awareness Week, our incredible partner Coterie Baby continued showing up for Good+ families.

Coterie hosted diaper distribution events for Good+ families in NYC and Los Angeles, providing more than 50 parents and expecting families with diapers and wipes to support their little ones.

At Good+, we work to end diaper need year-round, and partners like Coterie make that work possible. Through Coterie’s Diaper Share Program, Good+ received more than 50,000 diapers last year alone, alongside a generous contribution from Coterie.

We’re so grateful to Coterie for their continued partnership and commitment to helping us close the diaper need gap.

Diaper Need Awareness Week (Sept 14-20) is in full swing!

At Good+, we’re tackling this need head-on. Through our partnership with Coterie Baby and the Coterie Diaper Share Program, we received over 50,000 diapers in NYC and Los Angeles last year.

In 2025, we distributed over 2 million diapers to under-resourced families and we’re committed to meeting that need again this year.
