Hello from the 2026 U.S. Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA)! 👋✨
This past weekend, the GMHC Prevention and Housing teams proudly joined advocates, community leaders, healthcare professionals from across the country to reflect, connect, and learn from each other as we work toward a future where everyone has access to the care, support, and resources they need.
“Attendance at USCHA is so important for the GMHC Prevention team to connect with colleagues nationwide,” said Omi Singh, Senior Director of Testing & Prevention Services at GMHC. “The conference served as a vital reminder that HIV prevention work was built on community action. Today, our progress still depends on nationwide collaboration and exchanging shared strategies for success. We are returning energized and equipped with new insights to strengthen our work, and filled with gratitude for everyone who shared their strategies and stories with us.”
We’re grateful to be part of this vital national conversation and to continue bringing GMHC’s commitment to ending the HIV epidemic and advancing health equity together as a community.
The USCHA is the nation’s largest convener of community, workforce and frontline service providers, government, policymakers, and healthcare industry across the HIV movement.
Omi Singh and Matt Erdos from the GMHC Prevention team presented the poster, “Implementation of an Electronic Medical Record in a Community-Based HIV/STI Testing Center: A Continuous Quality Improvement Approach,” describing the process of moving the GMHC Testing Center operations into an EMR in order to improve the continuity of client care.
At GMHC, we offer prevention programs designed to meet specific needs of different communities, as well as supportive housing services that offer comprehensive care for our clients.
